This is late.. but I went to D.C. and rode my first subway! I was freaking. We’ve always taken cabs in Chicago, and the train from GR to Chi-town is waaayyy different from the subway… But it was so much fun!

My dad is currently working in PA and was awoke this morning by the hotel staff where he was staying on a business trip. These are just a few pictures from the hotel where he was staying. Thankfully he was staying on the 3rd floor. But says that the water got up to about 6 feet in the lobby (my dad is 6’ so you can imagine what it looks like). His car and belongings in it are totaled. This picture was taken at about 3:30 am on 9/8/11.

Woke up with a sinus infection this morning.. I’m trying to keep from getting sick. My friend Kate had this horrible flu-thing last weekend and I was dreading that it might be what I had because I had a sore throat too, but after Church today when I couldn’t taste the grape juice durring Communion I knew I was in trouble. So I’m dosing myself up with lots of vitamin C and crossing my fingers…
